Conference on New History of Central Asia held in Tashkent13.09.2004 20:33 International conference titled “New history of Central Asia. Revaluation of history, modern problems and approaches” was held at the Academy of state and social construction under the President of Uzbekistan. The organizers of the conference were the Center of New History of Uzbekistan and Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
Scientists and specialists from Central Asian countries and Germany participated in the forum.
Participants considered problems related to countries of the region, importance of their revaluation from the standpoint of modern science, as well as proposed new approached for their solution.
An analysis of completed works during the years of independence in Central Asian countries were also considered at the meeting. The participants emphasized the importance of new methodological approaches in studying the history of the 20th century.
During the conference scientists considered issues on development of historical science and changing interpretation of historical events, ethno cultural aspects of history of Central Asian nations, regional responsibility and cooperation, as well as results of modern historical researches.
