Delegation of Uzbekistan attended the 15th World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Symposium (WTIS), held in Tunisia.

About 500 specialists, scientists and analysts from more than 100 countries took part in the global forum, organized by the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Participants of the forum discussed such relevant issues as tendencies and investments in the field of ICT. At the same time, special attention was paid to the latest trends in technology development, including works on creating artificial intelligence, processing big data streams, the Internet of things and cloud computing.

Within the framework of the event, a new ITU report on “Measuring the Information Society” was published, which contains the results of the latest ICT Development Index. It is the leading global index that benchmarks the level of ICT development in more than 190 countries of the world. According to a new report, Uzbekistan is in the 95th place in the world.
