The State Services Agency and Huawei signed a memorandum of understandingA delegation from Uzbekistan, consisting of representatives of state bodies, ministries and agencies of the country, visited the People's Republic of China. The delegation got acquainted with projects implemented there on development of “Electronic Government” system and provision of electronic public services.
Among the Uzbek delegates there were representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Bureau of Forced Execution, the Development Strategy Center, and the State Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
The delegation visited the headquarters of the Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd in the city of Shenzhen. There, the guests discussed the trends and role of modern ICT in development of public administration, with Chinese colleagues. Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the State Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Huawei Tech Investment Tashkent company.
At the meeting, the delegation showed interest in cooperation in the field of development of common approaches to the design, development, implementation and integration of information systems, resources and databases used in provision of public services.
Within the framework of the visit, Uzbekistan’s specialists also visited the cities of Hangzhou and Jiaxing, where they got acquainted with possibilities of using the latest technologies in development of e-government system and methods of introducing ICT in the process of providing electronic and automated government services.
