Tashkent will host an International tournament

On September 9, 2017, “Asian fight – 2017” international martial arts tournament will be held at “Bunyodkor” stadium in Tashkent.

Athletes from almost 10 countries will take part in the tournament that is being organized by the State committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for physical culture and sport, the Center for development of oriental martial arts and combats of Uzbekistan, the Pencak Silat Federation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “Uzmobile” company, along with masters of martial arts of our country.

In this regard, a press conference with participation of organizers, athletes and mass media workers was held at Uzbekistan National Library named after Alisher Navoi.

At the event, it was noted that interest among young people in martial arts is increasing along with all other sports as a result of attention paid to the development of sport in our country, upbringing a harmoniously developed generation, creation of conditions for being engaged in regular sports, physical culture and development of talents and potential of athletes.

The purpose of organizing the “Asian fight – 2017” international tournament by Pencak Silat Federation of the Republic of Uzbekistan is wide popularization of healthy lifestyle among youth and wide attraction to martial arts.

This tournament in our country will be held for the first time. Winners of Asia and the world championships on martial arts Makhmud Murodov, Anvar Boynazarov, Jasur Mirzamukhammedov, Ulugbek Umarov, Khasankhon Baratov, Mukhammadali Toshturgunov, Isroil Rasulov, Ayubkhon Kamolov and Akhliddin Mirzadavlatov will protect the honor of our country.

– We are seriously preparing for this prestigious tournament, – says M.Toshturgunov. – We want to win the tournament and raise the flag of our Motherland. Such competitions are important in attracting young people to the sport and manifesting their talents.
