Tashkent to host national women’s sports festival

The fifth Republican women’s sports festival and the fourth Republican gymnaestrada festival will be held on 13-15 September in Tashkent.

The events, held under the slogan “Health woman – healthy generation” are aimed at popularizing the sports among women.

Most of the participants are employees of various enterprises and organizations and housewives. They will compete in volleyball, track and field athletics, table tennis, chess, darts, swimming and gymnaestrada.

The festivals are being organized by the Women’s Committee, Culture and Sports Ministry, Uzbekistan Gymnastics Federation, Professional Unions Federation Council, National Olympic Committee, State Physical Culture Institute, Soglom Avlod Uchun fund, Tashketn city administration, Vatanparvar organization, Tasviriy Oyina creative association, Kamolot youth movement and the Children’s Sports Development Fund.
