Odil Ahmedov named best football player

The Football Federation of Uzbekistan held a survey among journalists to identify the best football players and coaches of 2009.

Pakhtakor player Odil Ahmedov and Almalyk chief coach Igor Shkvyrin were named the best.

Last year, Ahmedov was second after the best Asian player of 2008 Server Jeparov.

115 journalists participated in the survey, giving Ahmedov a total of score of 329.

Bunyodkor’s Rivaldo and Jasur Hasanov followed Ahmedov on the list.

Among coaches, Nasaf’s Victor Kumikov and Dinamo’s (Samarkand) Azamat Abduraimov came second and third.
