AIBA Technical Committee meets in TashkentUzA, 10 November 2009, 10:32 The Technical Committee of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) held a session in Tashkent. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and the National Boxing Federation. The members of the AIBA Technical Committee, presidents and leading specialists of the boxing federations from more than 10 states participated in the meeting. Among them were representatives of Uzbekistan, Germany, France, Russia, USA, Argentina, India and Italy. The session considered issues related to the development of the world boxing, preparation to the 2012 London Olympics, as well as rules of conducting the tournaments organized by the World Series Boxing (WSB). “We are pleased to see that Uzbekistan pays a lot of attention to the development of the sports, in particular, boxing,” president of AIBA Ching-Kuo Wu said.
