Opening ceremony of the first in Central Asia "Cluster of innovations and scientific researches on water resources management issues" was held at Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.

According to Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, the cluster will unite efforts of the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC) and Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers in implementation of projects and programs in the field of water and land and environmental management in Central Asia.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the ministries of Water Management, Higher and Secondary Special Education, Innovative Development, as well as more than a hundred heads of delegations and guests of Central Asian International Environmental Forum, which is being held in Tashkent.

According to the Executive Director of CAREC Dr. Iskandar Abdullayev, the last 20-25 years, projects on development and education were aimed at solving problems through involvement of expertise and science from outside.

The center will become a kind of multidisciplinary platform for development of creatively favorable conditions for work and scientific researches of young scientists and will contribute to support active youth, creation of conditions for establishing a link between science, education and production through promotion of innovative ideas and startups.

The tasks of the cluster: implementation of projects on development directly at university, building skills on strategic planning of projects, resource mobilization and financial sources, development of critical thinking skills and conducting research. In general, activities of a new cluster can be divided into three parts: transferring experience on implementation of projects, transferring experience on scientific research and capacity development.
