A meeting with the delegation of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was held in order to promote the arrangements and agreements reached during the official visit to the United States in May this year between the Presidents of the United States and Uzbekistan, as well as discuss possible areas of cooperation.


A meeting with the delegation of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was held in order to promote the arrangements and agreements reached during the official visit to the United States in May this year between the Presidents of the United States and Uzbekistan, as well as discuss possible areas of cooperation.

The meeting, held at the Development Strategy Center, was attended by USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator Javier Piedra, USAID Regional Mission Director for Central Asia Christopher Edwards and USAID Director for Uzbekistan Gary Robbins.

During the negotiations, the guests were introduced to the results of the ongoing reforms within the framework of the Action Strategy, as well as the main activities, goals and objectives of the Development Strategy Center.

According to the Development Strategy Center, the guests were presented with the interim results of the joint work of the Development Strategy Center with the World Bank on developing a methodology for the development of Public Councils activities.

In turn, representatives of the American delegation noted that observing the positive changes taking place in Uzbekistan, USAID fully supports all reforms and is ready for active and close cooperation, in particular they are interested in implementing joint projects with the Development Strategy Center.
