Qashqadaryo Regional stage of the “The neighbourhood in my destiny” contest conductedThe Qashqadaryo Regional stage of the “The neighbourhood in my destiny” contest has taken place. This contest is being conducted by the Mahalla (neighbourhood) public charity foundation and a number of other partner organizations.
The contest is held for the purpose of turning neighbourhoods into even better areas, ensuring the stability of the social and moral atmosphere in families, protecting young people’s interests, bringing them up in the spirit of patriotism and increasing their activeness in the life of the state and society. 14 teams participated in the contest. These teams had their knowledge and experience tested in such areas as the life and history of the neighbourhood, national ideology and the foundations of morality.
“This contest is not only a knowledge and ability test for young people but is also a platform for free thought, and it has become a festival of friendship. This can be seen clearly in the fact that 2 thousand 660 boys and girls participated as members of 665 teams in the lower stages of the contest,” says Yu.Ravshanova, chief specialist of the Qashqadaryo Regional department of the Mahalla public charity foundation.
The “Boghibahor” team of the “Boghibahor” neighbourhood citizens’ gathering in Shahrisabz District achieved first place and obtained the right to participate in the republican stage of the contest. The “Nihol” team of the “Yertepa” neighbourhood citizens’ gathering in Karshi District and the “Amir Temur avlodlari (Amir Temur descendants)” team of the “Chulquvar” neighbourhood citizens’ gathering in the town of Karshi took second place and third place respectively.
