The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a press conference on “Actual issues and priorities for training and retraining managerial personnel in the country”.

Vice-rector of the Academy of Public Administration for Academic Affairs H.Azizov noted that according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for further development of the system of training, retraining and advanced training of managerial personnel in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of August 8, 2017, the governing staff of structural divisions of the Academy was updated by 68.6 percent. The share of practical courses has been increased to 70 percent, curricula and subject programs have been improved.

At the press conference, information was provided on the rules and quotas for admission to the Academy in 2018/2019 academic year. Only officials of the state governing bodies and administration, public agencies and organizations will be admitted to the Academy for a master’s degree on a grant basis. Not only state governing bodies and administration, economic management, NGOs, but also business entities can recommend students for training in a master’s program and retraining courses.

International cooperation of the Academy was also noted at the conference. The Academy has established cooperation with 6 international organizations, 9 foreign education institutions. 37 teachers and academicians attended the advanced training courses in institutions of different countries of the world, 97 students of master’s degree attended practical courses.
