The resolution of the Head of the state “On measures for further development of beekeeping industry in the republic” of October 16, 2017 created a solid foundation for radical reforming the management system in the industry, scientific organization of breeding business, increasing efficiency of beekeeping enterprises, further increasing the volume and types of bee production, expansion of its processing, export, as well as for introduction of best practices.

In Navoi region, it is planned to bring the volume of honey production to 51 tons in 2018, ensure growth of 20 percent compared to the last year. 48 tons of honey will be supplied by dehkan and personal subsidiary plots. This goal can be achieved through joint work, setting up the production of artificial feed for bees and strengthening the reserve base of farms, introducing modern methods of preventing diseases.

At the same time, it should be noted that in accordance with the legislation, members of “Uzbekiston asalarichilari” (Beekeepers of Uzbekistan) Association can now use lands of the forest fund, protected natural territories, mountain and foothill areas, meadows and pastures, agricultural lands free of charge during the accumulation of honey by bee colonies. This is also important for the development of the industry.

Leasing companies of the joint-stock commercial bank “Aloqabank” system are making efforts for supplying in full and on a leasing basis the necessary equipment and inventory, special vehicles and trailers, as well as modern technologic lines for the packaging products.

In the future, it is planned to establish beekeeping in almost 2 thousand farms and increase the number of bee colonies to 9775. This year, 1615 bee colonies will be supplied to farms. A plant for processing products will be built in Kiziltepa district.

It is envisaged to invest 1 billion 200 million sums for the implementation of projects in the industry.
