New academic year starts at schools in Uzbekistan

The first bell rang at all general education schools across Uzbekistan on 2 September.

About 475,000 boys and girls went to the first class this year. All of them received President’s gifts in the form of a school bag with textbooks and stationery.

According to the Public Education Ministry, a total of 4.6 million students go to 9,772 general education schools in Uzbekistan.

The new academic year started at all schools with the Independence Class.
