Servicemen lay flowers to Independence and Humanism Monument

The representatives of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan laid flowers to the Independence and Humanism Monument.

The traditional ceremony at the Independence Square was devoted to the Day of Defenders of the Motherland, celebrated on 14 January.

As President Islam Karimov said in his congratulation to the defenders of the Motherland, wide-scale reforms were implemented in the Armed Forces in the recent years.

The priority is to build the national army, which corresponds with the modern requirements and standards and is a reliable guarantor of the independence, security and territorial integrity of the country.

The representatives of the Ministries of Defense and Internal Affairs, National Security Service and the State Customs Committee also participated in the ceremony.

The Independence and Humanism Monument is the symbol of the freedom, bright future and noble aspirations of the people.
