On November 4, the 51st meeting of the Electric Power Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Tashkent.

Current issues of development of cooperation in electric power sphere, ensuring modernization of the legal technical reserve in this process were discussed at the event, which was attended by the heads of relevant ministries and electric power companies of the CIS member states, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, international organizations. Reports on ensuring stable operation of energy systems of the Commonwealth countries in the autumn/winter period of 2017-2018 were heard.

At the event, international documents on electric power sector within the framework of the CIS, normative and technical documentation of the CIS Electric Power Council, as well as documents of the Working group on development of energy capacity and alternative energy sources were also considered.

Following the meeting, resolutions of the CIS Electric Power Council were signed.
