Delegation of Indonesia visits Uzbekistan

Delegation of Indonesia headed by vice-chairmen of the People’s Consultative Assembly Lukman Hakim Saifuddin and Hajriyanto Yasin Thohari met the Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Ilgizar Sobirov on 25 August.

At the talks, the sides noted that Uzbek-Indonesian relations were developing consistently in various spheres, including the parliamentary system. The important legal basis for bilateral relations are arrangements reached during the meetings of the heads of two states.

The sides discussed issues of development of inter-parliamentary cooperation. The foreign guests were informed about the activities of a bicameral parliament in Uzbekistan.

The Indonesian delegation also held talks with Speaker of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Dilorom Tashmuhamedova.

“The present talks will help to further develop our cooperation in the sphere of parliamentary cooperation,” Lukman Hakim Sayfuddin said at the meeting.

On the same day, the members of the Indonesian delegation visited the State Museum of History of Temurids and Hazrati Imam (Hastimom) complex.
