Delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nodir Otajanov met with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policy of the Republic of Bulgaria Valeri Simeonov.

On July 11, 2018, delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nodir Otajanov met with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policy of the Republic of Bulgaria Valeri Simeonov.

The Uzbek side informed Mr. Simeonov about the changes in socio-economic sphere that are taking place in the Republic of Uzbekistan, namely, on implementation of comprehensive reforms aimed at further development and liberalization of the economy of the country.

As reported by the Ministry for Foreign Trade, at the meeting it was noted that the priority direction of development of bilateral relations is further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bulgaria. Issues of cooperation in transport, logistics, investment and agriculture were also raised.

As it was noted by the delegation of Uzbekistan, the regular meetings of Uzbekistan – Bulgaria Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Scientific Technical Cooperation play an important role in ensuring further expansion of cooperation in the above-mentioned sectors.
