Uniqlo will promote Uzbek textilesTashkent hosted a meeting of the leadership of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association with the director and founder of N&H Japan Inc. company Tsutomu Nakagawa. This was reported by the Press Service of the Association. Issues of cooperation, including possibility of promoting finished textile products of Uzbekistan in the Japanese market through Japanese retail chain of casual clothing Uniqlo (Unique Clothing Warehouse) were discussed at the meeting.
The visit of the Japanese delegation, led by Director General of the company N&H Japan Inc. Tsutomu Nakagawa was initiated by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Investments. Its purpose is to provide consulting services on the issues of export of Uzbek textile and clothing products to the markets of Southeast Asia and Japan, as well as assist in attracting Japanese investments, by providing preferential credit lines for textile industry, possibility of leasing equipment, software and cooperation with major leasing companies in Japan.
The sides considered the assistance of N&H Japan Inc. in promotion of domestic finished textile products through Japanese retail chain of casual clothing Uniqlo (Unique Clothing Warehouse).
During the negotiations, the role of Japanese companies in development of textile industry was emphasized, particularly, it was noted that Japanese technological equipment of Toyota, Murata, Tsudakoma, Tajima, Juki, Brothers and other brands were installed at the enterprises of the industry, as well as trading offices of Itochu Corporation and Marubeni Corporation are actively operating.
The Uzbek side provided information on current state of the industry, particularly, introduction of the cluster system of industry development in the country.
The Japanese side expressed support for reforms carried out in Uzbekistan and readiness to participate in economic projects.
