The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan is actively working on implementation of the Plan of measures on preventing offenses committed by entrepreneurs, as well as promoting their prevention.

In order to prevent delinquencies in conduction of business activity, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan together with the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Business Ombudsman, the State Tax Committee, the State Customs Committee and the Central Bank are actively working on implementation of the Plan of measures on preventing offenses committed by entrepreneurs, as well as promoting their prevention, within the framework of which it is envisaged to conduct a wide discussion among entrepreneurs of problems arising in implementation of business activity, the reasons and conditions leading to committing offenses, as well as taking necessary measures in their elimination.

Over the past week, experts of the Chamber together with representatives of the Central Bank, the Business Ombudsman and other organizations held meetings in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Navoi, Syrdarya, Bukhara and Khorezm regions. They were attended by more than 1,500 business entities.

According to the Chamber, during the meetings, problems and obstacles faced by entrepreneurs when obtaining a license, bank loans, selling state property at a “zero” redemption value, taking part in auctions and exchange trades, registering cadastral and other documents, buying property and others were discussed, as well as necessary measures were taken to address problems.

In addition, special attention was paid to issues of prevention of violations among entrepreneurs. On the basis of generalization prepared by the Chamber, an overview of the state of crime in business environment, the reasons and conditions conducive to their fulfillment has been brought to the attention of entrepreneurs.

Explanations on measures of administrative responsibility stipulated by the current legislation were also provided.
