Entrepreneurs received certificates“Urgut” free economic zone occupying 816 hectares in Urgut, Pastdargom and Nurabad districts has been established in Samarkand region in accordance with the Decree of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On establishment of “Urgut”, “Gijduvan”, “Kokand” and “Khazarasp” free economic zones” of January 12, 2017.
Over the past period, activities of the Directorate of the free economic zone have been organized, projects that are envisaged to be implemented in the FEZ have been developed. So, in 2017-2018, it is planned to implement 80 projects worth 281,1 million dollars, as the result of which more than 5 thousand new workplaces will be created. To date, about 50 projects have been approved, their implementation will soon begin.
39 business entities, starting activities in the free economic zone, were solemnly awarded certificates.
Responsible employees of the regional khokimiyat, regional main department of the Central Bank, regional customs administration and the finance department, other responsible departments informed in detail about advantages of the free economic zone, conditions created for entrepreneurs, privileges and preferences granted by the state. In addition, projects that will be implemented in the FEZ, were submitted, the process of their selection and approval is explained.
– We will start operating in 2018 and set up the production of 2,5 million pieces of energy-saving modern LED lamps per year, – said director of “Maroqand kabel invest” LLC U.Obloyorov. – Necessary funds and bank loans have already been allocated for implementing this project at a total cost of 1,5 million dollars. More than 40 new workplaces will be created at the enterprise, and the products will be supplied not only to the domestic market, but also to the foreign market. The certificates that are handed today will allow us to effectively use the benefits and conduct business activities in the free economic zone.
