Roads of Namangan are reconstructed

Reconstruction works are being held in Namangan city in accordance with the President’s resolution of 6 August 2009.

Old buildings are being replaced with new ones, and roads and streets are being reconstructed and widened for the people’s convenience.

In early January, the first part of the underground passage at the 77th kilometer of Fergana Ring Road, which passes through Namangan, was put into operation.

“This passage has a primary importance in controlling traffic in the direction from Tashkent to Andijan, including Namangan city, and should help prevent road traffic accidents,” said Abdurashid Saidmamatov of Namanganavtoyul, local road department.

“Nearly 25,000 vehicles pass through this part of the road every day,” he noted.

Currently, the second part of this passage is being constructed.
