The CCI delegation took part in the conference held under the aegis of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and dedicated to sustainable industrial development in the New Silk Road Economic Belt, in the city of Shanghai (PRC).
Delegation of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association took part in the 12th meeting of Uzbekistan – Iran intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, in Tehran.
According to preliminary data, the total volume of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in January-March 2018 amounted to 5 521.1 billion soums or 101.8% to the corresponding period of 2017.
On April 12, 2018 the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with Tashkent city khokimiyat organized negotiations between business circles of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan within the framework of the visit of the akim (governor) of Almata region Batalov Amandyk Gabbasovich to the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Tashkent.
Export of fruit and vegetable products in Uzbekistan amounted to USD 110.8 million in January-March 2018, or increased compared to the same period of the last year by 51.7%. Of the total volume of fruit and vegetable products the share of fruit and berries is 22.4 % (increased by 27.1% as compared to the same period of the last year), vegetables – 57.2% (69.8%), grapes – 15.7% (by 16.3%).
In January-March 2018 the republic’s foreign trade turnover amounted to 7.9 billion USD, of which exports – 4.1 billion USD, imports – 3.8 billion USD. The balance of foreign trade amounted to 249.4 million USD.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a visit of the delegation of business circles of Aktobe region (Kazakhstan) led by deputy akim of the region M.Abdullin to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Tashkent hosted a meeting of the leadership of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association with the director and founder of N&H Japan Inc. company Tsutomu Nakagawa. This was reported by the Press Service of the Association. Issues of cooperation, including possibility of promoting finished textile products of Uzbekistan in the Japanese market through Japanese retail chain of casual clothing Uniqlo (Unique Clothing Warehouse) were discussed at the meeting.
Continuation of measures within the framework of economic reforms in Uzbekistan contributed to the dynamic development of the service sector. As a result, the volume of production of services in January-March 2018 amounted to 31910,1 billion soums.
